What’s happening in Winters

Here is just a taste of what you will find when you visit Winters on a summer weekend.
Thursday night you are likely to find a stellar show at the Palms Playhouse and, during the month of July, take in an outdoor concert at Rotary Park hosted by the Winters Friends of the Library.
Friday nights are lively in Winters. Start with wine tasting at our two fine wineries, Berryessa Gap and Turkovich Family Wines, located in historic downtown Winters. Follow it up with a dinner of tapas at Ficelle’s or pizza from Putah Creek Café’s wood burning pizza oven.
Enjoy a croissant at Lester Farms Bakery or get your caffeine fix early Saturday morning at Steady Eddy’s before getting on your bike and riding the happy trail loop around Lake Solano and the back roads of Winters. After burning off the calories treat yourself to lunch at one of our friendly restaurants or a waffle cone at Chuy’s Panaderia. Be sure to take time out to stop in at Velo City Bicycle Center to make sure you have the latest in cycling gear.
It is also a great time to take a stroll over the historic trestle bridge and gaze into the cool waters of Putah Creek, the “green river” that inspired the Credence Clearwater Revival song. Summer Sundays also means BBQ time at the Buckhorn Steak and Roadhouse where prices have been rolled back to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
For information on all of these activities and so much more explore the pages of our Visit Winters web site (www.visitwinters.com) or stop in at our visitors center and Winters product store located at 11 Main Street in historic downtown Winters.
